SAGUARO TECHNOLOGY, INC. MANAGEMENT
Doina Mazilu is the Founder, President and Chair of Saguaro Technology, Inc., a Malibu, California-headquartered, software Development Company with wholly owned operating subsidiaries located in Timisoara, Romania. Established in 1999 and now over 250 developers strong, Saguaro Technology has been providing long-term, premier quality, project-based software development services for high technology companies such as IBM, Asyst Technologies, Crossing Automation, InfoPrint Solutions Company and Ricoh Corporation. An Engineer by education and profession, Ms. Mazilu joined Dataproducts Corporation after graduation as a development engineer. During her time with Dataproducts, her responsibilities rapidly expanded. Doina served as a project manager, department manager and Director of Development. She then became the Vice President of Engineering for a US based worldwide operating unit of Hitachi Ltd. In that role, she led 150 engineers and support staff in Product Development, Support and Quality Assurance. After leaving Hitachi, Ms. Mazilu started a successful software development consulting company, the predecessor to Saguaro Tech. Apart from her skills as an established entrepreneur, Ms. Mazilu is also an inventor. She holds patents covering computer printer print density and microprocessor control technologies.
Doina holds a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California at Los Angeles and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Pepperdine University.
Ms. Mazilu is firmly committed to giving back to the communities in which she lives and does business. Both in the U.S. and in Romania, she has established through her companies trusts, foundations, university grant and scholarship programs for worthy students. She contributes regularly to community aid, charitable and local disaster relief organizations.
